Been blog absent for ages now, I guess I have been pretty busy and preoccupied but hey… I’m kinda living my life a bit and ticking my bucket list.

College All Over Again

July is the much awaited return of UAAP. Every year, students of participating universities take part in the heated action on the court (not just basketball but across all sports).

In the Philippines where Basketball is ‘almost’ the National sport, UAAP has produced many outstanding professional basketball players playing in the PBA.

UAAP fever is definitely back.  UAAP Season75!

Fruits of my Labor: Apple

Doing this blogging thing with my new baby YOGI.

Oh yes, I name my gadgets. I feel we are a family since I almost always use them. Actually, I named my very first iTouch as Popoy and now,Yogi the newest addition to my ‘apple’ family.

I am usually picky and kuripot when it comes to buying pricey stuff. My tendency is to think of the pros and cons when buying a certain product. I always think 100x before jumping and buying.

So, that’s it for now since I’m attending (not listening) my corporate orientation. I’m such a badass.

Focus: Vanity

In general, I am not really a big fan of Safaris. I have a (weird) feeling that animals in zoos are being kept there to work. But I picked this as my first post because of this picture …

… the kids faces were priceless and precious.  You can really see it in their eyes the innocence of childhood.

One of my dream is to ride at the back of an elephant, maybe in Thailand.

Bottom of the Food Chain

Being a young Head Nurse (or a Nurse Manager) is really challenging. You deal with a lot of stress and pressure from work and from your co-workers. But despite having said that, I just love my job way back. I get paid for 8 hours of work only but I (we) usually extend up to 12 – 16 hours of work (4-8 hrs of no overtime pay) just to get ‘things’ done. I’m starting to miss what I usually do.

This time I’m starting over as the most junior staff nurse in my unit and again at the bottom of the food chain as they say. I work for 8 hours only and get paid a little hefty. I will be working my way up again, slowly but surely. Goals and objectives are set and expectations are extremely high.

Am I up for the challenge? Certainly!

If only my work life in the Philippines is more rewarding financially I would have never left the country for work. Surely,  ‘It is more fun in the Philippines.’

Snail Mail

My very ‘first’ Snail Mail here in Doha from my cousin who is based in London for almost 5 years.

If being ‘first’ is overrated already in this post, Baby Cabe is actually my ‘first’ ever pamangkin. The invite is for her Christening this 16 June and I’ll be one of her Ninong. Hopefully, I’ll be the ‘first’ to visit her in London early 2014. (Help me pray on that guys)

Not So Personal Space

When I was in my early teens, I really have the passion and drive to write whatever it is in my thoughts. I actually wanted to take up journalism in college.

I started blogging decently late 2006, from the ‘Bulletins’ of Friendster, to then ‘famous’ Multiply site, ‘Notes’ from Facebook and to the oh so current – in today, Tumblr. I was randomly posting whatever it is happening in my life and around me, a personal blog they would call it. I would go for weeks of no posts or even months. I would call it hiatus when I started posting again but the truth is —laziness. I was not totally committed of what I’m doing.

What am I doing exactly?

Then came to a point I started reading personal blogs… a bit different actually from mine. More personal yet it is NO me, me, me posts. Then I realized I love reading these personal blogs because they inspire me, they are positive and most of all the posts are full of emotions may it be happy, sad, scared or excited. The blogs I constantly follow makes me giggle like a kid and makes me a man to one day achieve what they have done. That’s when I decided to go with WordPress. Not so mainstream like my previous blog sites but a little bit more personal yet can still go a long way.

As I started reading my old posts, it makes me laugh to see how thoughtless I was way back 2006. Was I really that person? I’m proud to say I grew up to be a better person and trying my very best to be a better me everyday. So generally, what are my posts lately? Well often, it is still a me, me, me post but this time a more positive me. Sharing my life experiences to friends and strangers.

I decided to not impress other but express myself more. Hoping that somewhere out there, I’m making some people smile, sigh and giggle too.
